Reichskommissariat Mittelafrika

Reichskommissariat Mittelafrika

"The Colonial Iron Grip of the SS"

Overview

Stretching from the jungles of the Congo to the northern borders of Rhodesia, Reichskommissariat Mittelafrika (RK-Mittelafrika) is the largest colonial dominion of the German Reich in Africa. Founded after the Axis victory and the fall of British and Belgian rule, it stands as the brutal zenith of Nazi imperial ambition.

Leadership: SS-Obergruppenführer Wolf Eseer

Appointed directly by Heinrich Himmler, Wolf Eseer rules the territory with unmatched brutality. A veteran of labor camps in Poland, he has transformed Mittelafrika into a militarized, extractive colonial system defined by forced labor, racial supremacy, and total repression.

  • Reprisal massacres
  • Aerial bombings
  • Surveillance by the SD against locals and potential anti-German elements

International Relations

  • Rhodesia: Not recognized; considered a rebellious colonial splinter
  • Portugal: Monitored closely due to its alliance with Rhodesia
  • Axis Powers: Even fellow Axis-aligned regimes see RK-Mittelafrika as dangerously extreme
